Banyan Digital — AI Automation & Growth
Owned the growth roadmap for a UK platform with 127k+ monthly active users, then removed the thing actually holding it back by shipping five AI automation workflows that doubled output per editor-day without adding a single hire.
Users span the UK, the Americas and Asia. Engagement time is the average per active user, sustained after the analytics rebuild.
Challenge
Publishing velocity was capped by manual content production, not by demand and not by traffic. Hiring more editors was the obvious answer and the expensive one, and it would have scaled cost linearly with output.
What I did
Diagnosed content production as the binding constraint, then designed and shipped five AI automation workflows using Claude Code and Codex, covering generation, distribution and a data feedback loop. In parallel I owned the acquisition-to-activation-to-conversion roadmap, prioritising against engagement quality rather than raw traffic.
Outcome
Multi-format output (copy, cover images, video, image editing) went from 5 to 10 pieces per editor-day at constant headcount. I also rebuilt SEO and analytics measurement in GA4 around behavioural funnels, which is what finally made it visible which audience segments converted rather than which ones simply arrived.
